About Cabo Pulmo
Due to our remote location, you won't find gas stations (being the last one in La Ribera), pharmacies, laundromats, or big supermarkets.
This slice of paradise enjoys a more laid-back rhythm, remains tranquil for the most part, and boasts a more rustic charm. Additionally, local families occasionally host classic Mexican parties, celebrating events from birthdays to the National Park commemoration, events that continue throughout the night. Super tip: It's wise to bring earplugs!

To reach Pulmo, you'll need to rent a car or arrange for a shuttle service, as there is no public transportation available, and taxis or Uber are not optioning here. When traveling from Cabo or SJD airport, take Highway 1 North towards La Ribera. Upon entering La Ribera, look for the Oxxo, turn right there, and continue on the same road straight to Cabo Pulmo. Note that the final six miles consist of a washboard road. While a 4x4 vehicle isn't necessary, a car with high clearance is recommended for a more comfortable journey. Remember to drive cautiously, be alert for cattle, and take in the scenic views.
-
There are two modest "tiendas" offering basic items like drinking water, wine, beer, snacks, and occasionally some fresh produce. For a more extensive selection, it's advisable to visit a larger supermarket when you're in bigger town. Soriana and Chedrahui are the nearest supermarkets to the San Jose del Cabo airport.
-
Cash is king. Some restaurants and dive shops accept credit cards but be prepared to pay an additional fee. There's one USD ATM in town; however, it's wise to take precautions as it may not always be stocked with cash.
-
There are seven restaurants available, with only a few offering vegetarian options. They are generally casual, and typically, the kitchen close around 8:30 or perhaps 9 p.m.

In addition to SCUBA diving and snorkeling, there's a unique and varied trail system that stretches from the beach to the mountains and arroyos. The town features a bike shop, and there's also a visitor's center where you can stop by to check the monthly schedule; it includes workshops, birdwatching days, movie nights, festivals, and other events

Due to logistical reasons, we do not issue facturas/invoices.
Our energy is solar powered. During cloudy days, it may not be possible to operate the air conditioning. Some neighbors may operate their generators to charge their batteries up, resulting in noise from the generators.
